Low power AC/DC converters used in cabinet and DIN rail applications are often installed by non-specialists. As a result, they must be designed to handle worst-case supply conditions while remaining uncritical in terms of mounting orientation and airflow requirements. The new cost-effective RAC20NE-K/277/EPID series from RECOM are ideal in these respects with a wide 85-305VAC input range, rated Class II and OVC III to 3000m. Their compact 26.4mm width occupies little space on a DIN-Rail or back-plate, delivering full 20W output power without airflow up to +55°C (85°C with derating). Additionally, the parts can be chassis mounted in any orientation using the provided fixing holes. With IP40 ingress protection, and tool-free push-in terminals for input and output connections, installation is quick and hassle-free.
